Stranded in Palmyra

Season 6 – Partners

(February 1st, 2009 – February 26th, 2009)

Stranded in Palmyra is the second partners season and the first season with new players to feature three tribes. In a change to the original partners twist, the players did not know each other coming into the game and would choose their partners on the first day. In the early stages, the game suffered from inactivity with several players falling by the wayside without even showing up to vote. Two of the three tribes had multiple inactives to boot, however one in particular, Allat, had a fully active tribe of 6 and they were always flipping the vote despite not going to Tribal. After 4 players left, there was a mix up in the game and two new tribes were formed. The game started in a big way as there were no more inactives to boot. The strongest alliance in the game was solidified and took control of their tribe. The Evil Trio consisting of Heidi, Alex and Jenna began their evil administration. They were downright arrogant as they decided who would be booted and when. It wasn’t until the merge that they became vulnerable and would soon become the target.

They would not go down without a fight. What took place during the first three Tribal Councils of the merge as we saw Jenna, Alex and Heidi go one by one is nothing short of shocking. They bullied members of the majority in an attempt to scare them into voting with them. It all culminated in the most shocking event of the game and Stranded thus far. Darrah, who had been on a tribe with them the majority of the game and in an opposing alliance, was their target. During Tribal Councils and on the forum they berated her every step of the way even going as far as to mock her real-life disorder. Darrah ended up outlasting the Evil Trio, but only just. She left immediately afterwards. From there it was a battle of partners. Highlights include Ghandia’s bubbly personality and strategic strength. Robb, the youngest player to ever play being only thirteen years old, could not handle the pressure of the game and ended up quitting in the final four. In the end, Deana won with a unanimous vote and after winning every individual immunity challenge in the merge making her the most dominant winner in Stranded history. She had only lost two challenges the entire game.
