Stranded in Oaxaca
Season 47
(June 25, 2026 – July 24, 2026)
Stranded in Oaxaca sent twenty-two castaways into Danni Boatwright’s most socially unforgiving season yet, splitting them across the yellow Huave and pink Chocho tribes before a single introduction had finished landing. From the opening minutes of La Inquisición, in which every player secretly ranked the tribemates they wanted to see win and lose, this was a game built to force judgment before trust could form. Idols surfaced early and often, a rock draw and a gauntlet decided premerge survival when a four-way tie refused to break cleanly, and the twin Conquistador and Bounty titles kept handing outside leverage to players who had no tribal vote to spend it with. By the time thirty days were up, the only alliance that had out-survived every one of the season’s dozen shifting majorities was a trio that had started the merge as underdogs and ended it calling themselves the villains.
The premerge on Huave, Chocho, and later Zoque was shaped less by clean tribal lines than by private rooms that outlived their tribes. Kristina’s inactivity removed her before Chocho cast a real ballot, while Zach’s fabricated warning to Romeo helped send Mike out 10ā1 even after Mike exposed the lie at Tribal Council. Rocksroy’s dramatic return from a self-imposed exit created a web of debts that toppled Lindsay 9ā2, and Lydia’s secretly discovered idolāpassed to Chanelleācanceled seven votes and eliminated Jenny instead on only two valid ballots. The tribe swap onto Huave, Chocho, and Zoque scattered those debts further: Sophi’s hidden idol protected a women’s majority that voted out Jonathan 4ā2, while Zoque’s old majority collapsed on itself, sending Rocksroy out 4ā2ā1 with an idol he never played, then Zach out 5ā0 when visiting Conquistador Nicole’s bounty matched the tribe’s own plan. Even the merge itself was delayed: Neteotoquiliztli forced three players into an elimination arena, where Hai’s idol erased four votes against him, a four-way tie produced a rock draw naming Alex, and Jake’s gauntlet win over Maryanne sent both of them home as the season’s final premerge casualties.
Thirteen players reached Mazatec carrying incompatible versions of the same tribe. The first merge vote collapsed into a 5ā5ā1 tie between plans targeting Romeo and Jawan after Nicole burned an idol that canceled nothing; Jake’s ballot broke the deadlock in the revote, sending Romeo out 5ā4 and exposing Jake’s abandoned rebellion, Jawan’s double game, and a new minority of Hai, Lydia, Chanelle, and Sage. Steven’s real-life withdrawal made him the second juror without a vote, but Annie’s win at Numb3rs made her the season’s final Conquistador, granting her the power to attend and vote at both halves of a coming split council. That split removed two players in one night: on one beach, Jake’s extra vote let the majority divide its ballots and send Hai out 3ā2ā2; on the other, Lydia and Chanelle quietly built a new four with Jason and Jawan that blindsided Nicole 4ā2 before she could execute her own plan against Jason. Two councils, two different majorities, and no coalition that had survived the merge intactāthe only certainty left was that whichever four had just won would not be the four still standing next time.
The middle of the merge showed why no majority ever lasted two rounds. MC fell 4ā3 after Lydia quietly redirected Chanelle, Jason, and Jawan against her while Sophi burned both of her idols on camouflage votes that changed nothing. Lydia herself went next, eliminated 4ā2ā1ā1 despite two fake-idol bluffs from her and Sophi and a misdirected Jason ballot, proving the tribe’s own read of her as the biggest threat had become self-fulfilling. Sophi then tried to run three plans at once against Jake, only for Sageāfreshly armed with her first individual immunity wināto expose the scheme and hold Jake, Jawan, and Jason together, sending Sophi out 4ā3 as the only person who had believed she controlled every trap. Jason followed, blindsided 4ā2 alongside his own ally Jawan after Jake decided he feared Jason’s growing bond with Jawan more than anyone else remaining; a public idol that everyone assumed belonged to Jake had already been secretly handed to Jawan, and neither man played it. Each vote solved one threat and immediately created the next.
The decisive rupture came once the game narrowed to a self-described trio of villains. At final five, Jawan’s win at Simmotion removed the target Annie and Chanelle had shared, and Jake, Jawan, and Sage settled on Annie while each strung Chanelle along with a different fake plan; Chanelle wavered toward Annie out of fear Jake still held an idol before reverting at the deadline, and Annie left 3ā2 as the season’s most visible underdog. At final four, the last immunity challenge, The Box, produced one more reversal: Jake finished first but failed to complete three required submissions, handing the win to Jawan, who chose to protect Jake and Sage rather than take Chanelle’s offer to eliminate one of them. Chanelle campaigned hard against both, arguing that carrying weaker finalists to the end was cowardice the jury would punish. Jake refused to risk a tie he expected to lose, and Jawan, Sage, and Jake voted her out 3ā1, sending Chanelle to the jury as its tenth and final member and leaving the three players whose alliance had outlasted everyone else’s to face the people they had eliminated.
What followed was a Final Tribal Council built on three incompatible cases. Jake argued that relationships and adaptability had repeatedly saved him, but he struggled to isolate a single move that belonged uniquely to him. Jawan presented the strongest conventional strategic rĆ©sumĆ© of the three, finally owning the manipulation behind moves like Jason’s blindside, but the jury could not separate that control from the relationships it had cost him along the way. Sage turned her early struggles into the foundation of her case: she had entered the merge distrusted and disconnected on Chocho, learned from those failures, transformed an early rival in Jake into her closest strategic partner, and helped design the very endgame that carried all three of them to the end without pretending her path had been clean.
The juryāRomeo, Steven, Hai, Nicole, MC, Lydia, Sophi, Jason, Annie, and Chanelleāhad each been removed by a different configuration of the final trio, and their questions probed exactly those wounds: whose plan had actually cut them, and who deserved credit for it. Jason, Annie, and Chanelle voted for Jawan. Romeo, Steven, Hai, Nicole, MC, Lydia, and Sophi voted for Sage. By a vote of 7ā3ā0, Sage was named Sole Survivor of Stranded in Oaxaca, with Jake receiving no jury votes at all. Her game had not begun with controlāit ended with the clearest understanding of the season, and of the jury that would decide it.
